Dancing With The Stars judge and champion, Julianne Hough, and NHL player, Brooks Laich, excitedly announced their engagement through Instagram on Tuesday, August 18th.

Laich popped the question in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, which is where Hough’s grandparents live.

The couple has been dating since December of 2013, and met through Teddy Sears, who is a fellow star on Hough’s upcoming movie, Curve. A year ago, Hough shared that the couple has been “open and honest from day one.”

“She’s just a sweetheart, very loving, very giving.” Laich shared on an interview with 106.7 last year. “She puts so much great into the world. I’m a pretty lucky guy.”

Hugh and Laich seem to have a promising relationship filled with honesty, and love. The happy couple has yet to announce any further news on their engagement.
