The red headed actress, Christina Hendricks, looked stunning in her sleeveless floral gown. However, it was her choice of accessory that really stole the show. Her exquisite crystal clear princess cut drop diamond earrings created the perfect finishing touch. One large diamond, which was around four carats was surrounded by smaller round-cut diamonds to create a great deal of shine and shimmer.

She wasn’t alone in her choice of going earrings only. Malin Akeman chose to go with a pair of yellow gold drop earrings despite her plunging neckline. Padma Lakshmi chose to accent her black sweetheart lace bodice designer gown solely with a beautiful and sophisticated pair of solitaire, round-cut diamond earrings. Morena Baccarin opted to forgo the traditional accessories with her modern red strapless gown and only go with a pair of art deco yellow gold drop earrings. Jennifer Morrison opted to go with a gorgeous pair of crystal clear and sparkly round cut diamond drop earrings that truly created the perfect accent.

It appears that there has been a serious change in celebrity jewelry in 2012. Less has definitely become more and the Hollywood trendsetters seem to be opting for one exquisite statement piece opposed to previous looks where the necklace, earrings, bracelets, and rings were all worn together.
